Student wins prize A special $200 scholarship created for the first Capilano College student to complete a diploma including a Canadian Studies Specialty has been awarded to Ms. Barbara J. Marette of West Vancouver. Last term, for the first time, the College offered students the opportunity to complete a Canadian Studies Specialty for which at least eight of the courses com- pleted for the diploma must specfalize in Canadian content. Both Career and Academic courses count towards the Specialty, and include the History of Canada and Quebec, Canadian Business courses, Literature, Painting, Political Science, An- thropology and Labour Relations. Marette has been a student at Capilano College since January 1979 when she decided to return to school.
