Joy Metcalfe 5 JOY TELLS ALL Marc’s been in the entertain- ment business for most of his life and he's been a regular on the stages around town as well as playing roles in television's MacGyver, Wiseguy and the just-wrapped feature movie Look Who’s Talking Too. He rarely misses any of the touring productions. He and his wife had bought their Les Miz tickets months in advance for a Monday matinee. The big day fi- nally arrived, the lights dimmed and Marc settled down to enjoy the three and a half hour produc- tion. It was five minutes into inter- mission when he began to experi- ence chest pains. He does suffer with angina, and this particular day, he'd forgotten to bring his nitro pills with him. He made his way with great difficulty to the first aid station but was dismayed to discover that they didn’t have any nitro, either. A call went out immediately for an ambulance. Two arrived and four paramedics worked on Marc. Bob Gray was the show's first production manager and. 20 years ago, it was he who approached Harry Smith. owner of Molly's Reach in Gibsons, to see if they could use Harry's place as the story's base of operations. This was the fabled restaurant that actress Rae Brown presided over for most of the 20-year run, the same place that Nick and Refie exchanged insults, where feuds started and love blossomed. In fact, Rae, who hasn't deen too well, was the only one of the Original stars that wasn't able to come to the party. Bruno Gerussi, Robert Ciothier, Pat Joher, Jackson Davies.
