Brownies

The 17th West Vancouver
B ownie Pack is holding an
enrolment ceremony for
seven new Brownies on
VM ednesday, 4th November,
1481 at 3:30 p.m. in the
Cypress Park School
Gymnasium. The District
Commissioner will be there
to preside over the
c remony and present the
B ownie pins to the new
gris.

Also invited is Mrs. P.
T enwith from Inglewood
L dge and Mrs. D. Sutton
a .o from the Lodge to be
t!«¢ honoured guests. Mrs.
1 enwith was a member of
the very first Guide com-
p ay formed by Lady Olave
B .\den-Powell in England in
1'08-09. She was at
€ oldsmith College at the
time.

Mrs. Sutton was a member
of the first Guide Company
formed in Vernon, B.C. in
1920-21. She also went to the
first Guide camp at Sechelt
as a leader in later years.

Mrs. Trenwith has agreed
to give a short talk (about [0
minutes) to the Brownies
after the enrolment
ceremony about what it
means to be a Brownic and
how what vou learn follows
you through your entire life
Following this there will be a
short tea for the Brownie
parents
