September

AFTER A series of performances
at Expo's Plaza of Nations and the
Canada Pavilion’s Amiga Theatre
in August, the Judith Marcuse
Repertory Dance Company of
Canada (RDCC) is geared up for
its September program.

The major engagement of the
month is scheduled for Expo's
Xerox Snternational Theatre from
now to September 18. The RDCC
will present a changing program iti
a omini-festival that includes two
other contemporary dance com-
panies, the Anna Wyman Dance
Theatre and the Karen Jamieson
Dance Company.

In addition, the RDCC is par-
ticipating today (Sunday) in
Ambleside Park as part of West
Vancouver’s Coho Festiva:

On September 21 the company
will kick off Festival Concerts’
1986-87 Coffee Concert Series at
«ue Queen Elizabeth Playhouse.

The programs performed by the
10-dancer company of soloists will
vary and will be drawn from the
following ballets: And the Angels
Sing by Ginette Laurin (recent
winner of the Chalmers Award,
Scherzi by Toronto’s Danny
Grossman, Big Shoulders by the
New Yorker, Lar Lubovitch and
several works by Marcuse herself
including her new ballet, Time
Out.

These September dates are the
company’s last Vancouver per-
formances before a five-week na-
tional tour and its major Van-
couver season in November .
