When working in hardwood, it
is always wise to pre-drill the holes
with a countersink that matches
the size and shape of the screw you
are using.

This will prevent splitting and
will save wear and tear on the drill.

Be sure to select a screw that wiil
penetrate as far as possible
through the bottom of the board
without coming out the other side
for maximum hold.

Steel and brass are the most
commonly seen materials used for
screws with steel being by far the
most common for every day use.

for a complete selection of variable
speed drills, both plug in and cor-

and counter-sinks.
