FIREFIGHTERS RETAIN
IMPERIAL CUP

Firefighters retained the
Imperial Cup over the
weekend with a 2-0 win over
Richmond Canadians,
capturing the Van Metro
Soccer League Cup at
Ambleside Park in West
Van.

The Vancouver based
team reached the finals
following a 3-0 win over
Coquitlam Greyfriars on
Saturday while Richmond
were disposing of Norvan by
a 5-0 count.

In the consolation final on
Sunday, Norvan came out
with a different attitude and
took a 2-1 win after coming

The final saw Firemen
score a pair of goals in the
space of one minute in the
second half to take their
consecutive trophy.

The Impenal Cup has
been played for since 1911-
1912.

CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

The North Shore Winter
Club’s hockey players
presented a $1,000 cheque to
the Pacific Coast Amateur
Hockey Assoc. recently.

This donation was their
contribution to the $40,000
used by the PCAHA to
purchase a _ Neurological
Intensive Monitoring System

Hospital.

The donation, raised by
the Midget A’s and the 450
other hockey players at the
NSWC, was one of many
made by hockey players
playing the Pacific Coast
Zone.

WINDSOR RALLY
SATURDAY

The annual Windsor
Secondary School car rally
will take place this Saturday
Starting at 9 a.m. starting
from the main parking lot of
the school on Broadview
Drive in North Vancouver.

Entrants of one driver and
one navigator must be a
Present or a past Windsor
student.
