FIREFIGHTERS RETAIN IMPERIAL CUP Firefighters retained the Imperial Cup over the weekend with a 2-0 win over Richmond Canadians, capturing the Van Metro Soccer League Cup at Ambleside Park in West Van. The Vancouver based team reached the finals following a 3-0 win over Coquitlam Greyfriars on Saturday while Richmond were disposing of Norvan by a 5-0 count. SUPPORT CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL The North Shore Winter Club’s hockey players presented a $1,000 cheque to the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Assoc. recently. This donation was their contribution to the $40,000 used by the PCAHA to purchase a _ Neurological Intensive Monitoring System Hospital. The donation, raised by the Midget A’s and the 450 other hockey players at the NSWC, was one of many made by hockey players playing the Pacific Coast Zone.
