entered in the Boomerang
250. As ofie of B.C.’s most
gruelling off-road races, the
annual Vancouver Island
event never fails to attract an
impressive field of skilled
wilderness drivers and a lot
of hefty, big-bore vehicles.

This year’s Boomerang
250, however, served. to
prove that big engines don’t
necessarily. provide the
fastest kind of off-roading.

Boomerang 250 _ is

‘traditionally one of the

season’s’ earliest off-road
races. Which means that
Roy Haslam still has all

for all that biggest is not
necessarily best in the world
of off-road racing.
