A contract for obtaining fuel supplies has been complete with Texaco. The Band has ‘hired a manager and staff for the marine service station which will add to the services available to boaters. This project has taken. ‘place over a period of two years and weas directed by .a committee chaired by a person chosen by both gavernment.and Band. In addi- tion, the committee consisted of representatives from CEIC, B.C. (Labour) and other Band representatives. As aresult of this successful enterprise, in addition to four full time jobs being created, continuing part-time employment opportunities are available. As a result of working closely with a consultant firm of Bill Kerr and Associates, of White Rock, B.C.; Manager of the Mosquito Creek Marina, has not only expanded facilities and Increased service to boat owners but has plans for future development which will lead to further employment.
