Early last month, scme signs went
up at a stop sign at 15th and Argyle.
Drivers now cannot turn right to cross
the tracks and access Bellevue and 15th
Street. Drivers must instead continue
along Argyle to 16th — an extra block
of roadway more often than not
crowded with walkers, often elderly, or
plugged into Walkmans, or, kids in
strollers. According to the West Van
engincering department the signs went
up as the result of an accident. A car,
driven by an elderly man who was
stopped to cross the railway tracks at
