The Curious Savage is a fanciful comedy that takes place in a New England retreat in the 1950s, while The Lion in Winter is a witty modern take on how the war of succession might have taken place in the court of Henry IH. Curiously enough, The Lion in Winter was the first produc- tion for North Vancouver Community Players that 1 got involved with (in a particularly ugly shade of puce as I reall) some 16 years ago. Bob Weakes pl the title role and David McIntosh directed. This time Weakes sits in the director’s chair while McIntosh struggles to grow his hair longer.
