Ty ESRE MY GS PENN The Club keeps looking better and better. The vast majority of our very sizable furniture order has arrived and ts now being set up in appropriate focations. Our new seating for the skating viewing arcas and bistro will be in place d .;. ti shortly. It was quite an . event, the day the massive Bernie Asbell semi-trailer pulled up with y 72 large boxes holding some Manager 200 chairs. Now that we are finally getting to use them I am sure all members will appreciate the new comfort and appearance of the seating arrangements throughout the Club. Additionally, of course, we are getting prepared for Spring and Summer around the Club. Our outdoor tennis courts will soon be used to the full, weather permitting. We are working hard on the pocl once again for opening mid May and our fabled Tiki Deck will be opened in May for our members and their guests to catch a few sunny rays while enjoying food and beverage services and watching the activity in the outdoor pool. . We will be celebrating later in the month with events tnvolving our entire membership and also the communi 48 we start the celebrations for our anniversary year. One of the intusl highlights will be the instalation of new signage on the extet‘or of our butlding and in our parking lots which will help everyone find us and find their way around our facility. Programmes are changing to the Spring and Summer variety, we are still working on sprucing up the Club further and, with our new furniture, we are looking better and better. . Come on down. FIGURE SKATING |; First of’ all —’ congratulations to all the {% Committee Members who worked so hard to make THE NORTH SHORE INTERNATIONAL Skating }% Competition such a wonderful success. Everything worked like clockwork and everybody had a good {3 time. Thank you, to all of you who worked so dili- |'¢ gently to make our club look so great. 1’ During March 4 - 7, 1993, the North Shore Winter Club held its 14th annual NSI Figure Skating Competition. This turned out to be the biggest competition {i ever held, with a total of 740 single skaters, numerous dance and precision teams, with skat- ers coming from as far away as Whitehorse, Yukon and the US. As usual, this competition went without mishap thanks in large part to the wonderful organization- al skills of the NSI Committee and. last but not least, OUR JUDGES. The North Shore Winter Club and the Figure Skating Committee would like to take this oppor- J% tunity to thank all those wonderful VOLUNTEERS who dedicated their time, talents and abilittes to our cause, and a special thank you to our local skaters who not only performed exceedingly well (4 but made do without club ice for four days in {i order for this event to run. . ; We would also like to congratulate all our skat- ers who performed brilliantly, without the benefit of medals.
