GET TOGETHER with fellow
movie lovers at the North Van-
couver Recreation Centre for
Monday Night at the Movies.

This series of eight courses
begins September 29 and runs
from 7 to 10 p.m. each Monday
night.

The course instructor, local
filmmaker Ogden Gavanski, stud-
ied at Simon Fraser University and
UBC, and has directed films in
Yugoslavia.

Screenings will range from
Holiywood box office flops to in-
ternational film classics. Discus-
sion following the screenings will
cover subjects such as film tech-
nique, directing and acting styles
and cinematography.

All movie buffs are welcome, so
grab a bag of popcorn and join the
