Now’s the time to Start thinking about the newest fashion looks for Spring and Summer. The word is narrow, it’s the new shape of things to come. This month’s issue of Vogue Magazine _ says, ‘*Narrowness is a predominant theme in the New York summer collection, in the world of sports-clothes dressing, and in the more recent couture collections.”" Narrowness can be found in everything from the new tighter skirts, which are a little bit shorter for Spring, to the tapered suit jacket with a broader, squarer shoulder. Watch for clothes that are slimmer, more close to the body or body revealing. Capri pants — the tight fitting ones that Marilyn Monroe’ made famous — have made a comeback. Pants are also cropped at a much shorter length for an easy casual look. One of the hottest items this Spring is the evolution of the T-shirt. The T-shirt will be seen in almost every imaginable form possible but with a lot sophistication. There is a new interest in the design of the sleeve. For a different look, dolman sleeves appear in multi-colored layers. Mesh and lattice work can be found as a feature either on the sleeves, front or sparingly down the back. T- shirts that are entirely mesh are the latest flash from the fashion industry. T-shirt dresses with their ease, coolness and simplicity can be found with either round or bateau” necklines. Layering T-shirts, like wearing a tank top over a regular T-shirt, can be fun and will quickly change the look of a plain T-shirt.
