The North Shore Family
Services Society for their
ininative in hiring two of
three Play-room Aids from
among the handicapped to
supervise the achivities of
children at the Society's
facilities. GRANT: $32,212.
The Vancouver Natural
History Society which will
prepare “self-guidmg nature
trail brochures and in some
fostering an_ established
interest by visitors to North
Vancoaver parks. The
project will employ four

nature interpreters.

Development Projects
provide term employment
which would not otherwise
be available. The projects
that receive the highest
priority are those _ that
maintain or increase ongoing
employment opportunities,
as well as those that provide
workers with skills to assist
them in securing em-
ployment after their par-
ticipation on a project.

The local advisory board,
nominated by Cook,

provided an excellent report
on each submission and were
instrumental in the final
choice of projects.
