Court of Appeal upheld the acquittal of John Robin Sharpe on wo counts of possessing child pornography. Sharpe was charged with pwo counts of importation, sale or possession of child pornogra- phy for pwposes of sale or dis- tribution and two counts of simple possession. Sharpe lost the challenge on the former two counts and has yet to be mied. But he succeeded in convincing a B.C. Supreme Court judge in January that his freedom of thought, belief and expression was violated when the porno- graphic material was seized by police. The Ministry of Attorney General launched an appeal Thursday in the Supreme Court watershed tours during the last couple of years. The tours, which this year started last month, begin at 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. each day. They are approximately four hours long.
