GUESTS EYE West Vancouver Police officers Thursday on
their way to celebrate India's republic day flag-raising cere-
mony at the British Properties home of India's Canadian
Consul General. Approximately 100 people attended the cer-
emony, which was peaceful. In August 1984, between 200
and 300 Sikh demonstrators attempted to stop the traditional
Mag-raising for India's independence day celebrations at the
residence.
