Reynolds told the News that a lot of areas need to be loused at on the issue of immigra- tion, a hot-button Reform has made a lot of noise about. He said he would be meeting provincial ministers in charge of immigration and ethnic groups across the country to get a feel for what cople want. Reynolds said his party wants to Pring down immigration to 150,000 a year until the uacmployment figures drop. “If people are coming here and taking jobs that other people might have there is a con- nection,” he said. “One hundred and fifty thousand is still a sizeable number. It’s not like we're cutting it off.” He said citizenship and immigration has been a litany of contradictions, scandals and outright frauds. “I lock forward to pressuring the minister and her government,” he said. North Vancouver MP Ted White will likely get considerably less national exposure in his role as democratic reform critic and chairman of the Scrutiny and Regulations Committee.
