From page 4 squeezed by the hours he spends in his public roles, is a simple one. He met his wife Kathy on a blind daze set up by some mutu- al friends. She remembers him showing up to pick her up with a dozen roses in hand. That was 1988; two years later they were mar- ‘ried. “He knows how to sweep you off your fect,” said Kathy. Prior to meeting his wife, Sager adopted an 11-year-old boy. Bill Sager is now 27. They also have a four-year-old daughter, Mikayla, with whom he loves spending time. “He loves his daughter. Show me a daddy that doesn’t love his litde girl,” said Kathy. Joining the family unit are Suzic the dog and three cats: Sidney, Spike and Muffy. Beside his highly visible public persona, Sager also has an interest in a restaurant and is a partner in a law firm. There’s no doubt he’s busy. The question without an answer for now is whether Sager will stay uut of politics. Although he did not elaborate on his decision and did not reveal any spe- cific future poiitical plans, he did say he would be back if the right opportu- nity presented it- self. According to Kathy, he’ll proba- bly be back. “I guess when he feels it’s right ... then I'm sure he’ would be happy to look at it,” said Kathy, adding she would not put any pressure on him to stay out. “If my husband chose to go back I’ll support him 100%.
