Flicka gymnasts
qualify for B.C.
Winter Games

SEVEN FLICKA gymnasis quali-
fied to compete at the B.C.
Winter Games that will be held
from Feb. 27 to March 1 in Ver-
non.

_ The B.C. Games trials were
held Dec. 15 at the Flicka Gym-
nastics Club based in North Van-
couver.

in the provincial ‘A’? category,
Teresa Pehar and Raila Gutman
qualified for the zone four team
and Daphne O’Young and Patti
Furniss qualified for the zone five
team. (The zones are based on
geographical areas of residence in
B.C.)

In the provincial ‘‘B’* category,
Elsa Cuadra, Sarah Friesen and
Sandra Tsakok qualified for the

zcne five team. Catherine Shankel
of Flicka was unable to compete
because of an injury, but she will
also join the zone five provincial
**A”* team.
