NV District water to cost more

THE WATER cuoting through North Vancouver
District plumbing systems will cost users 1] per cent
more Next year.

Council passed third reading of a bylaw increasing
water user charges in an effort to meet the district's
waterworks upkeep costs.

But nature didn’t help much to keep the resource
cheap and plentiful as the North Shore experienced
two consecutively dry and hot summers in 1985 and
1986.

Demands in 1985 pushed the cost to $778,000 and
this year projected costs ae $721,000, $16,000 over
budget.
