Around the World

On behalf of the North
Vancouver Folkfest Commit-
tee, | wish to express our ap-
preciation to the North Shore
News for the publicity that
helped to attract attendances
totalling 1,500 to our produc-
tion of ‘Christmas Around the
World’.

I also wish to express our
thanls to the ethnic groups,
the conveners and the 268 per-

formers, who made the show
a success, to the North Van-
couver Lions Club for their
sponsorship and to the North
Vancouver Recreation Com-
mission and the North Van-
couver Chamber of Com-
merce for their assistance.

The performers appreciated
the refreshments supplied by
Diamond Almas of the Seven
Seas Seafood Restaurant and
by David Taillefer of
McDonalds on Lonsdale.
