Weedex Dandelion Bar is
the easy way to kill dandelion
plantain and other common
broadleaf weeds without us-
INg a Spreader or sprayer. It
iS a waxy bar impregnated
with 2,4-D with a pulling
cord fastened at each end.
After it ts dragged back and
forth across the lawn on a
warm day. some of the
chemical remains on all the
weed blades. Wind, rain or
lawn watering will not affect
this treatment.

There is no danger from
volatile fumes. No danger of
spray touching and killing
bordering flowers or plants.
There is nothing to mix or
measure. There is no equip-
ment to buy or rust away. It
covers at least 10,000
square feet-enough to kill all
weeds on most lawns for at
least two years. .

Bone Meal is made from
finely ground animal bones
and contains only two
nutrient - 1% nitrogen, 10%
phosphorus and no potash:

Old fashioned gardeners
always recommended the
addition of bone meal and
peat when planting trees,
shrubs, roses or perennials;
all plants which would be in
the same location for many
years. As bone meal
dissolves in the soil very
slowly a long gradual
feeding of the soil is assured.

The peat of course holds
the moisture and the food for
long periods of time
