SFU honours Marcuse with docte

IS there a doctor in
the house?

When choreographer
Judith Marcuse gets togeth-
er with her siblings she can
playfully answer: yes, three.

SEU has included the
West Vancouver resident
among eight prominent
individuals to receive an
honorary doctor of laws
degree this year. Marcuse
will receive her honorary
degree at the spring convo-
cation ceremonies, June 7.

The award means that

the artist can, if she chooses,

go by Dr. Judith Marcuse.
But she'll not be the first in
her family to wear the title.

“My parents are happy
that three of their four chil-
dren now have doctorates,”
she told the News.
