Lynn Valley Garden Club’s Fall Fair was not a gardener’s dream. Our fluctuating summer weather confused the plants as well as ourselves! Consequently, most gardens had very disappointing results and I suspect many gardeners did as I did — ripped out summer flowers and vegetables much earlier than usual, and got my bulbs in in- Stead. However, for the children and a few hardy souls who did enter their precious produce for com- petition, the results and judicial comments were rewarding and the club grateful for their participa- tion. For the public, the show was disappointing, but we did appre- ciate their attendance and hope to have a more successful display next year, perhaps with a different format.
