Immigration Week set

THE FIRST B.C. Immigration
Week will be held from March 12
to 18.

The purpose of the week is to
contribute to public awareness and
understanding of immigration
through activities that demonstrate
its positive impact.

“Immigration Strengthens the
Community’’ is the theme of the
week,

‘*Federal and provincial
departments, municipal govern-
ments, immigrant-serving agencies
and a series of non-governmental
organizations will participate in
activities in honor of this event,”
