Miove indoor plants
into sunnier areas

excessive winter winds. Try to
remember to get out there and
shake the snow off before injury
can occur.

mentioned much about indoor
plants in my previous articles, I
vow to alter that in the future. In
the meantime I will remind you
that the vast majority of house
plants are trying to slow down at
this time of the year.

If possible in the scheme of your
immaculate interior designs,
relocate some of your plants to
brighter windows. This weak
winter sun means some of your
plants may not be getting as much
as they need in their current loca-
tion.

You should also be aware of the
lower humidity that this season br-
ings toe the indoor environment. Be
especially careful with plants that
are located near heat registers and
other hot spots. These will dry the

If you cannot move the plant,
try setting out containers filled
with water. If you fill a plant tray
with pebbles and water then place
it under your plant, the
evaporating water will humidify
the air immediately surrounding it.

As the available amount of light
diminishes, the plant’s growth
processes diminish as well. Keep
things in balance by reducing the
other key ingredients to growth.

You should eliminate fertilizer
use over the winter months, take
extra care not to over water, and in
some instances, slightly reduce
temperatures.

Christmas cactus, etc. You should
try to continue meeting these
plants’ requirements for as long as
possible.
