one tie. 1.G.A. is winless with
six losses and one tie.

In action Saturday, May 11,
SuperValu played the Bank of
B.C. Gavin Dirom got the vic-
tory striking out !0 players.
Paul Pepin struck out nine for
the Bank of B.C. Final score
was 7-4 for SuperValu. May
{2 Davies Pharmacy beat
1.G.A. by a score of 7-2. A
grand slam by Calvin Dang
highlighted the game.

The Rebels started the
season with a 6-3 win over
Skyline. Randy Kennett pitch-
ed five shutout innings before
weakening in the sixth. Steve
Lake finished off the win and
hit a home run to pace the
Rebels. Josh Chernov pitched
a solid game for Skyline and
sparked a sixth inning rally.

Hightand came back to
score the winning run in the
last inning to edge Stongs 7-6.

In the game which follow-
ed the league's opening
ceremonies, the Rebels got
shutout pitching from Steve
Lake and Mike MacLeod to
blank Highland 10-0. Key hits
by John Dufton drove in three
runs.

The Rebels used a five-run
second inning to edge Stongs
8-7 despite a homerun from
Karl Dennis of Stongs. Steve
Lake drove in three runs.

Highland scored their se-
cond run of the season behind
Justyn Groinus and Steven
Bain, defeating Skyline 10-5.
Stongs gave an excellent pit-
ching performance from Dar-
ren Darwin to edge a hard luck
Skyline team 6-3 in a well
played game. Josh Chernov
hit a homerun for Skyline.

Skyline scored their first:
win of the season 8-4 over
Highland using the consistent-
pitching of Fabrizio Larizza
and the strong hitting of Josh
Chernov.
