North Van- couver businessman Dale Van Oene has a revolu- tionary product that he himseif invented. He calls his product Anchor Lift , which he says will put any Skipper's first mate to shame. The Anchor Liit uses the basic law of physics (power-lift and drag). By using the power of your boat to lift your anchor, you simply have to pull in the slack line to retrieve your anchor. Van Oene says even his ten year old grandson can do from the safety of the cockpit. Anchor Lift is especially promising for the Salmen “moocher” who changes location fre- tnakes several anchor sets in a day. The whole operation only takes 3 minutes. Van Oene will be demonstrating his pro- duct at the Vancouver Boat Show from Feb. 2:10 at B.C. Piace Stadium. At this time, Dodd is unable to commit himself to joining the race again this year, but if his sport fishing excursions don’t conflict, he and La Con- tessa will be with the fleet.
