McDonald, 41, of 7705-112th
Street, Delta, for a $100,000
heist 18-months ago from an

armored car in North Van-
couver. .

McDonald had been found
guilty in county court
February 20 on a charge of
theft of the $100,000 which
disappeared—from. .a -Loomis
armored car on August 25 of
1977. The money vanished as

it was parked at the
Westlynn Mail outside a
branch of the Bank of
Montreal.

The Delta man had been
an employee of Loomis at the
time the money disappeared.

In addition t to the five-year
prison sentence, McDonald
was ordered by the judge to
make resitution to the bank
for the full amount of the
money taken.
