PEAT MOSS vs MUSHROOM MANURE-Thesse are both excellent products for
soil conditioning, but all too often used improperly, resulting in damage to
expensive plant material.

Fora simple rule-of-thumb, use peat moss (slightly acidic) in areas containing
broad leaved evergreens such aS camellias, azaleas, rhodos, heather, etc.
Mushroom manure (from horses) is alkaline, and is great for your vegetable
garden, and deciduous shrubs and trees. but can damage rhodos and similar
shrubs. Both products can be used quite liberally - we recommend using a 21
litre bag On approximately 50 square feet.
