U Factor was developed by Sandra Lopez-Taylor Dr. But they are the hottest of B.C.'s_ senior girls’ basketball teams, and they showed why by displaying talent and tenacity to win the second annual 16-team Firefighters’ tourney with four straight wins, including the 85-55 championship game over Killarney of Vancouver. The two teams were tied 22-22 after one quarter of magnificent basketball, perhaps the best ever seen here; but Windsor never let up, and Magee, the 6°3°’ lefty post player who will be playing at the University of Arizona next season, ended up with 32 points, a pile of rebounds, and a huge number of long outlet passes for baskets. She was named the tournament’s most valuable player. Point guard Susie Jarosch, a transfer from Prince Rupert, pick- ed up 19 points and displayed awesome playmaking to earn of- fensive piayer of the game in the final and a tournament first all- star. Guard Tiffany Chester, chosen to the second all-star team, had 21 in the final, while post Diana Oshorne was selected the final game’s best defensive player. Overall, Windsor had a 16-0 won-lost record this season, in- cluding four wins in the Jasper Park Tournament in Edmonton, a 70-68 victory over a_ touring Australian all-star team, and a 3-0 record in league play.
