Blues classic

CAPILANO College will be
hosting their fourth annual
Blues Classic basketbal! tour-
nament at the B.C.1.T. gym-
nasium on January 3, 4 and
5.

Action gets underway at 9
a.m. Thursday, January 3 on
the women’s side of the
draw, with the University of
Victoria Junior Varsity
Vikettes playing Red River
College’s Rebels from Win-
nipeg. In all, eight games are
scheduled for the opening
aay of the three day tourna-
ment. The feature game on
the men’s side of the draw is

scheduled for 7:30 p.m. bet-
ween defending tournament
and B.C. College champicna,
Capilano College Blues, and
Assiniboine College Cougars
from Brandon, last year’s
Manitoba College
champions.

The l0urnament 15 a 581x-
teen team affair with eight
men’s and eight women’s
teams competing on their
respective sides of the draw.

In addition to B.C. teams,
teams from Brandon, Win-
nipeg, Calgary, Edmonton
and Red Deer -will be com-
peting in this year’s Blues
Classic.

X country winners

petitors ranging from six to
50 years of age participated
in the family fun run Sat.
Dec. 15 at Hollyburn Cross-
Country ski area. Following
