In their opening match

‘Thursday the Winter Club

team defeated the Winnipeg

St.James Canadians 6-2.
The following sight the
Winter. Club team registered

defeated the New Brunswick
team 5-2.
Later the same day the

NSWC ~team suffered their

first, defeat of the tour--
nament as. they - were.
smashed 8-1 by the Calgary
- Southern Music Blues,

’ On’ Saturday the Winter.

Club team returned to form:
and: defeated ‘the. ‘Troquois |
Falls Abitibis 4-3. —

This set the stage for a
deciding: game Sunday
between the NSWC team
and Calgary.

In a repeat of the carlier
confrontation, Calgary once
again dominated the Winter,

7-2 win to
championship.
