Impressions:

The Saturn has undergone its
first exterior changes since their
Canadian introduction

in 1991 (specifically the SL and
SW series). Although the unique
vertical body panels remain
consiructed of dent-resistant
polymer attached to a steel
spaceframe, the look is more
aerodynamis. Entry through the
rear doors ig now wider and rear
headroom has increased
significantly. Both the standard
and optional 1.9-litre engines
are upgraded with sequential
fuel injection, and a noise-
reduction package has been
introduced which should cure a
major complaint concerning
previous models. The Saturn |
Wagon also receives a new
exterior, and incorporates the
sedan's rear doors. The SC1
and SC2 coupes have not
received any body revisions for
1986, and the base SC1
continues with the front-end
design of the 1995 sedan. A
new, larger Saturn model is
cumored for sometime in the
1897 model year.
