building ‘for retail use below and

lonial apartment block nearby on
10th Street.

Figuring prominently in its

design are the building’s comer
parapets, projecting corner turret.
bays, and second-floor bay win-
dows.

The cedar shingles and lapped
siding are original and have been
painted a vibrant robin’s egg blue.

Although this building _ has
undergone ground floor aitera- .
tions,. these. changes haven’t
detracted frem its classification as
a notable commercial heritage site.

(ACAD) systern. In the plant, walls are » consinact-
ed on a framing table to exact cpecifications,
using kiln dried lumber, screwed together with
zinc plated screwe.

The wall frames are insulated with panels of
E.P.S. (expanded rene) and sealed with a
specially formulated adhesive. This creates a
superior bartier against wind and air tiow, and
elirrinates the need for fibergiaas insulation end
externa! sheathing. E.P.S. insulation is non-allec-
