Share in an exciting new community devel- opment venture by taking the minutes of board meetings for a charitable organization. This is an excellent opportunity to meet a dynamic group of people and be involved in your community. The board meets every fourth Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. INTERESTED in the arts? A community arts council needs a treasurer for basic record keeping, collecting and depositing all monies, paying accounts and doing monthly reports. Hours are flexi- ble from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mon- day to Friday every two weeks. CREATIVE enthusiastic writer is needed to help edit and type the newsletter for a community arts council, Volunteer will also make calls to group members for articles for newsletter and coordinate ac- tivities. Hours are flexible 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekly. BORN to shop? Here’s an ex- cellent opportunity. A shopper is wanted to do the personal shopp- ing for residents of a seniors lodge. Rusty: if you have a car and enjoy both seniors and shopping call about this opportunity. Hours are preferably every Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon. Orientation provid- ed. ENJOYING the public and typ- ing skills are necessary to fill this exciting position as receptionist for an active sociable volunteer centre. Duties include answering the phones, typing and photocopying. This is an excellent opportunity to make new friends and to discover your community. Hours are flexi- ble four-hour shifts Monday to Friday. CREATIVE public relations person is wanted to become a member of an active PR committee and assist with brochures, media releases and special events that promote this dynamic community society. Orientation provided. Hours are flexible days with one monthly evening meeting. North Shore location. EMPATHETIC driver with a re- liable car is needed to transport patients from their homes in North Vancouver to the cancer clinic on West 10th Avenue in Vancouver. Volunteer should be dependable and have good listening skills. Gas reimbursement is available. Hours are flexible two to three hours per week.
