Leigh Ann Hayward, 38, pleaded guilty to all charges laid against her for the thefts which occurred between March 30 and Nov. 1 in North Vancouver stores and various locations scattered throughout the Lower Mainland, including Delta, Vancouver, and New Westminster. Hayward was charged with the theft of such items as running shoes, hair dye, a pocket book, shoes and cigarettes. Appearing before Judge J.D. Layton, Hayward’s six-month sentence is a total of time to be served for all the offences. College board ratifies contract THE CAPILANO College board of directors ratified Tuesday the recent three-year contract settlement negotiated with its support staff. The contract, which was ratified Dec. 4 by members of the Of- fice and Technical Employees’ Union (OTEU) employed at the col- lege, provides for an 18.5 per cent compounded wage increase over the three-year term of the agreement. It covers the period from Nov. 1, 1989 to Oct. 31, 1992. By the end of the contract, the wage range for the college's OTEU employees will run from $13.07 up to $25.47 per hour. And the agreement also provides for such things as an early retirement plan, an employee assistance plan paid for by the college and improvements in training employees for technical change. OTEU employees at the college walked off the job Nov. 20 and stayed on strike until Nov. 24, when the tentative agreement was reached.
