NORTH VANCOUVER
Cruisers were inspired by two
of their relay teams who pro-
duced outstanding perfor-
mances at the B.C. Summer
Swimming Championships in
New Westminster last
weekend.

s/In ‘Division 6, Steve
Klassen, Martin Stewart,
Corin Hopkin and Brian
Stewart took the gold medal
in the medley relay. The same
team took the bronze medal
in the freestyle relay. sO

Cruiser Division I girls put
it all together to win two '. durability for lig
silver medals. Heather Reid, 7-12; Ladies: 6-1
Jill Barker, Kim Dobbin and
Jacqueline Hicks came up
with their best performances
of the year to win the silver in
both the freestyle and medley
relays.

Outstanding Cruiser Swim-
mer from fast year, Janet
Oakes was fighting tendonitis
and was able to swim only
one event although she
qualified for more. Still,
Janet won the silver medal in
the 100 backstroke. Megan
Pinfield, Division 3, took the
bronze medal in the same
event.

In overall finals top
Cruisers were: Div. 1: Jason
Thomson - 6th 50 back,
Sabina Thomson - 8th 50 fly,
7th 50 free. Div. 4: Leila.
Hopkin - 8th 50 fly, Megan
Pinfield - 8th 50 free. Div. 6:
Corin Hopkin - 4th 50 fly,
6th 50 free.

In consolation finals top
