A North Vancouver
woman and child received a
rude awakening’ early
Tuesday morning when a
pickup truck driven by a 14-
year-old smashed through
the patio doors in their
apartment.

A North Vancouver
RCMP spokesman said the
incident was the conclusion
of a police chase which
began at about 3:25 a.m.
“Gy At that time, the

old male youth was driving
his family’s pickup truck
southbound at. Chesterfield
and 4th Street when police
attempted to stop him.

the time “were somewhat
frightened but not injured,”
the spokesman said.

The youth driving the
truck suffered minor injuries’
and police are investigating
the incident to decide
whether charges will be laid.
