Teen’s
murder
remains
mystery

reporter Anna Mavic

unsolved murders in North
Vancouver that date back
to the 1960s. Anyone with
information about the
murders is asked to contact
the North Vancouver
RCMP at 985-1311.

RHONA Duncan
went to party on the
night of July 16,
1976.

The 16-year-old = North
Vancouver teen was joined by
her bovtriend, Shawn Mapoles,
her close friend Marion Bogue
and Bogue’s boytriend, Owen
Parry.

There were abour 60
teenagers from school at the
party in a house on East Queens
Avenue,

Ac about ] a.m... Duncan and
her friends left. the party and
walked home. They walked
together until the boys broke off
at West Queens and Mahon,
heading for their own homes

Dunean and her girlfriend
parted company near Wolfe
Street and Larson Road close to
where Bogue lived. [t was five
blocks from Dunean'’s house.
The time was 2:45 a.m. Bogue
saw her friend walk away. It was
the last time she would see
Dunean alive.

The Cragg, proposal calls for a mixed-use 15-
