AT a time when it’s easy to drop
$50 on a cigar, paying the same for
a salon-styled updo is a small
indulgence, says hairstylist John
Cupello.

People are indulging again

“Furs are back, leather is back,” s the
Toronto stylist. Cupello’s clients are drink-
ing martinis and dressing up for a night on
the dance floor with Frank Sinatra.

People aren’t cash poor, they’re ime
poor, says.Cupello. And as such, they can't,
always slip into his salon for a pre-party coif.

Cupello swung through Vancouver
recently to offer his holiday hair tips for
women who choose to go it on their own.

for long hair starts with a roller

and secure in a ponytail.
