The popular Book Discussion Group is splitting into two this fall, with the first meetings sched- uled for Sept. 21 and 22. Each group will meet_monthly. “It’s a good idea to pre- register,’’ says the branch’s Sarah Ellis, who leads the discussions. The group attracts readers of all ages, from seniors to people in their 20s. Ellis chooses the books, but welcomes suggestions from participants. According to Ellis, the Children’s Summer Reading Club was very busy this year, with some 458 kids involved. “It kept them reading and us busy,”” says Ellis. Children’s programming for the fall is about to begin, with pre- registration for Tales-for-Twos on Sept. 14. The session will run Wednesdays, starting at 10:30 a.m., Sept. 14 to Oct, 26.
