reserved space at the exposition.
Said the state’s Department of
Trade and Economic Development

the things the investment exposi-
tion will do is build commerce be-
tween Washington and Canada
and specifically the western pro-
vinces. Canada currently exports
$2.3 billion in goods from
Washington while Washington
buys $3.6 billion worth of Cana-
dian-made products.’*

Event organizers are expecting
to attract over 15,000 investors and
approximately 300 business exhib-
itors.

Most exhibitors are small to
medium-sized companies from
across Western Canada. Delega-
tions are expected from Korea,
Japan and Taiwan. Approximately
200 Hong Kong investors will be
flown in on a specially-arranged
charter flight. A European delega-
tion will bring investors from West
