NORTH SHORE Counsell-
ing Centre (formerly known
as North Shore Living and
Learning Centre) has ap-
pointed Ronald Jones of
West Vancouver as chairman
of its Board of Directors.

Jones brings to the Centre
his many years of profes-
sional teaching experience in-
cluding special education. He
is an active church worker
with considerable experience
as a chaplain and as a leader,
and he has taken a strong in-
terest in municipal politics.

He is an early graduate of
the volunteer training
courses given by the North
Shore Counselling Centre.

The name of the Centre
has been changed at the re-
quest of its Board of Direc-
tors to more readily identify
its principal function as a

Dr. John T. Stewart, assisted
by Dr. Ronald W. Richard-
son and Rev. Roy L. Wood,
all of whom are accredited by
the American Association of
Pastoral Counsellors. Two
counselling psychologists,
Daeniela Bheaumont and
Brenda Broughton, also

administration.

Severe government  fun-

ding cuts have placed con-
siderable pressure on the cen-
tre’s finances. However, the
recent establishment of a
‘*Storehouse Fund”’ is enab!l-
ing the Centre to continue to
provide counselling services
to those people who are
unable to pay even the
minimum cost.

This fund is being sup-
ported initially by contribu-
tions from individuals and
churches. It is hoped that the
number of contributors can
be increased so that the pro-
visions of this much needed
service can continue and be
broadened to take care of
many of those persons who
