HOLLANDS

In 1915 John North Willys
founder of the Willys-
Overland Co. of Toledo,
Ohio purchased the Russell
Motor Car Company of
Toronto, and formed a new
Canadian operation titled
Willys-Overland Limited.

Automobiles were
produced until 1918, when
the plant was turned over to
the production of airplain
engines for Britain” until
February 1919.

Following World War I a
new Car was announced with

and sold through Willys-
Overland Limited, then
production was started in the
Toronto plant. Overlands
were built with both four and
six cylinder engines, and in
1926 a new name and a new
model line-up was in-
troduced to be known as the
Whippet, which would also
be available in Fours and

Canadian headquarters were
based in Windsor, Ontario.
