WEST VANCOUVER RESIDENTS
WATER SUPPLY

Residents may have noticed increased
cloudiness of the water recently as well as a
reduction of pressure in some localized areas.

For those residents west of Cypress Creck the
increased turbidity of the water is due to
Ongoing construction projects in the Eagle
Lake Reservoir. This work should be com-
pleted in early January and the normal quali-
ty will return shortly thereafter.

For those residents in the remainder of the
municipality east of Cypress Creek the tur-
bidity ‘is due to the heavy rains in the
Capilano watershed. The water supply has
been switched over to the Seymour supply
which is unaffected by these storms. Water

should return to normal quality in a few days. |

Some residents will experience a reduction in
water pressure due to the change in the
source of supply from Capilano to Seymour.
This should return to normal when the source
is switched back to Capilano sometime over
the holidays.

We apologize for any inconvenience these
events have caused. Please note that the
water meets the required standards and is
safe to drink.
