The film is a no-holds-barred
gross-fest of bodily fluids of all
kinds. The team who brought

ou Dumb and Dumber have graduated trem
athroom hemor to, well, sex gags and bath-
room humor.

But it’s hilarious,

another guys movie about farting
and getting the girl without the
irrepressible cuteness of Diaz,
whose throaty gigele is infec-
tious.

Two musicians wander in and
out of the picture to narrate

Ted's atcempts to win Mary back.

A cross between a Greek chorus
and the lame ditties of Adam
Sandler, the duo are also fodder for

the unexpected ending.

Speaking of endings, stay tor the
credits. The cast and crew have a sing-along
to Fill Me Up, Buttercup that’s almost as
much fun as the movie itself.

Yes, it’s funny, but don’t take the kids to
this goofy comedy unless you want to for-
sake conventional parenting tools — Judy
Blume books — in favor of the Farrelly
brothers’ sick sense of humor. No onc is safe
in this film: handiccpped, gay, minorities, the
dermatologically challenged. There is more
than one moment where the laughter stops
and there is an uncomfortable “this is cross-
ing the line” silence.

There’s Something About Mary is onc big
joke that goes that one step too far: beyond
bad taste, past politically correct but right

into the funny zone.
