Pepino, you immediately feel
relaxed and at home. With
only 13 tables, Pepino is cozy
indeed; a wonderful choice
for a quiet, romantic dinner.
Pepino opened in September
of 1994 in the Lynn Valley
area of North Vancouver, an
area that was in need of a nice
restaurant. Chef Daniel
Poulin explains that all food
at Pepino is prepared fresh
and from scratch. Everything
is fresh becuuse we use sea-
sonal vegetables; when the
seasons change, so do our
daily specials.

You can sense a subtle Asian
twist in the food and service.
This is a result of Daniel hav-
ing spent several years work-
ing in Asia, “1 have combined
the best of Asian cuisine with

the best of Italian cuisine and
the result is mouth watering”,
says chef Poulin. Besides
pasta & specialty pizza,
Pepino serves a wide variety
of appetizers that’ include
calamari, a prawn skewer
with Tobiko Mirin dressing,
and marinated beef salad.

seasoned with Japanese
spices and served on a bed of
lettuce, There are a lot of
ather choices including fresh-
ly made vegetarian dishes.
Many items on their menu are
prepared on a grill. including
delicious chicken and lamb
brochettes. The good news is
