WHILE THE North Shore, and the rest of the province,
wrestles with the weighty questions of the day, for ex-
ampie taxation, we thought we'd lighten the mood with

a nod to celebrity.

In this case the nod goes to Hollywood actor Richard
Gere. Mr. Gere is currently holed up in Deep Cove,
venturing out now and then to work on a movie being

shot throughout the Lower Mainland.

Though we are a star-savvy bunch on the North
Shore, recollections of sightings of the movie star and
his wife, model Cindy Crawford, have become the topic
of conversation from the beauty salon chair to the bar

stool.
