THE VOICE OF NORTH AND WEST VANCOUVER SHOWERS of beer bottles rained on police who tried to break up a West Vancouver party early Saturday morning. Two officers were injured — one by a beer bottle thrown at him which broke on his chin and sent pieces of glass flying into his eye. Two other officers escaped injury only because of the protection of riot helmets they were wearing. In the attack a corporal received an police injury to his knee. A constable was struck by a hurled beer bottle which shattered as it struck him in the chin, sending glass fragments into one of his eyes. He received stitches in hospital and escaped without his sight being damaged.
